Corsica!

My parents had to work in Corsica this past week again. Shawn and I got to go along, and while they worked we were able to enjoy our little selves on the beach! Got to take some fun pictures again. Now that I have a flickr account it makes it a lot easier to deal with thumbnails and image links and stuff. When I used to put pictures on here it would take like an hour of my time because of my "analness". haha

So enjoy...

Here are also a few more pictures from my time in Switzerland. Shannon took a bunch of pictures as well so I thought I'd post some of hers.

My flickr is http://www.flickr.com/photos/eriknewby/

and I've also recently updated my DeviantArt account

well hellooooo

I know I know! I'm soo bad at this game! Well none the less, here I am and here is some news for YOU!
My girlfriend's title has gone from "girlfriend" to "fiance" just a little over a week ago!
I hope that most of you know the news by now. I apologize if I haven't been able to contact everyone personally. Here are some pictures though that you will be able to enjoy.

sorry, it's just easier for me to copy paste a link for all pictures rather then doing them all individually here. go to ... my flickr account and choose which album you want to look at. there are two. Look at both of them if you'd like :)

love to all...

I am in the middle of finals week...or rather in the middle of final art projects. Lots of work completed, lots of work ahead. I apologize for the long period of silence. I hope to start updating again when my summer finally begins. One more week, then finally some downtime.

love to all

HI!

so, months later! Here I am! ... I don't have time to give you a real nice update, but I do have something I want to share! My Video Art prof showed me this ad in class last week and it blew my mind! I have lost count as to how many times I've watched it. If you can, wait for it to load after clicking the link, it's worth it. All I'll say is that everything you see is real, it's not done with computers or manipulated or anything.

enjoy.

if that doesn't work try this one.
enjoy.

To give you a really quick update though... I am doing good. Classes are as busy as ever. However, this semester I'm only taking art classes. I am immersed and saturated in art, and love every minute of it. The work is intense, but soo good!

well, I have to run again.

love to all.

Here I am... home, sitting in my room, sipping tea, listening to jazz Christmas music, watching the snow fall outside my window... just like I had predicted and hoped it would happen. Something incredibly gemuetlich/cozy about this setting.

Anyway, here are a few pictures from this past Wednesday. Shannon and I did another one of our real quick Chicago trips to go see shawn and also show Greg (the guy in the second to last picture on the right) around a bit. He's a friend from Australia and had never been to Chicago. We took him to the Cheesecake factory beneath the Hancock building. Then walked around the city a bit. Drove 4 hours, spent 4 hours there, and drove 4 hours back. haha I love it.

Finals finished off quite nicely. I past all of them which is wonderful because two of them were looking really shaky. Things don't seem to be getting any easier. Just when I thought I got another semester of insanity behind me, the next one pops up and says, in a Meet-the-parents-sort-of-way, "Can you deal with that!!"
However, I have dealt with it! and passed it! And now I have a few days that I can spend relaxing in a winter-wonderland!

I'm finally getting around to reading Blue Like Jazz which is a book I have been trying to get around to reading ever since my freshman year of college. Almost finished and am quite impressed. I tried to read it on the plane over here, which usually wouldn't have been a problem and could have easily finished. But this year was a bit different. I was running on 1 hour of sleep and had already spent over 9 hours in airports by the time I was on the plane headed towards the land of soccer, beer, and Christmas markets.

Well, I'm hoping that everyone else is having a chance to rest, relax, and spend time with their families. Those times are becoming less and less it seems. So I'm thankful for these two weeks before I have to go back and get my brain whipped by some professor that knows more then I'll probably ever know. haha.

love to all...

ps my art photography page has been updated.
